19 JunÂé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» makes the top 1% for the fourth time
KUALA LUMPUR: Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» University maintains its standing in the world¡¯s top 1% for the fourth straight year after placing 269th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
It is also the second straight year Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» has placed in the top 270 of the competitive annual rankings, confirming its status as one of Asia¡¯s top private universities.
¡°Being ranked in the world¡¯s top 1% for four years is a significant achievement and I would like to acknowledge our students, staff and industry partners for their efforts,¡± said Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» vice-chancellor Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.
¡°This milestone also reflects Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»¡¯s commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, global engagement and consequential graduate outcomes.
¡°We will build on this momentum, strengthen our international partnerships and set our sights even higher in the years to come.¡±
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» is one of Asia¡¯s top private universities. It has nurtured four Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia inductees and an increasing number of its alumni are launching their own social enterprises.
Famous alumni include Malaysia¡¯s queen of pop Aina Abdul, Astro Awani news anchor Cynthia Ng and award-winning photojournalist Annice Lyn, among many others.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» also empowers many national athletes. National swimmer Khiew Hoe Yean and national diver Bertrand Rhodict Lises represented Malaysia at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
